NYIP provides the highest level of distance education training in the art, technique, and business of photography using multi-media training materials developed by our staff and faculty, while providing a high level of service and support to every student.

NYIP was founded in 1910. The school has had a distance education division since 1922, and has taught exclusively via distance education since 1975.
Student Demographic Profile
NYIP enrolls students of all ages. Permission of a parent or guardian is required for students under 18. Over 90% are from the United States, 5% from Canada, and the rest of the students are from over 40 different countries.
