Break The Rules! - NYIP Photo Snack

By NYIP Staff on June 18, 2014

In this week’s NYIP photo snack, we examine the process of making outlaw images by breaking the rules of photography.

While it’s important to master the rules first, once you have done so, feel free to break them.

Just make sure you know what rules you’re breaking in order to achieve the greatest impact.

For example, these images violate the rule of thirds, as they run rampant over ideas of even lighting and traditional crops.

Do you have your own outlaw images? We would love to see them!
