After graduating from NYIP’s Complete Course in Professional Photography, Darryl went on to start his own business photographing events, weddings,industrial/corporate work , portraits , fashion and more. Recent photographic successes for him include having a photo used for a billboard and a travel photo of the Philippines featured in Illustrado Magazine’s March 2014 issue. Says Darryl, "the course made a huge impact on how i take my images and lifted my skills to a new level in photography. It gave me confidence that got me different freelance photography jobs."

Reija Bolwell, California

Reija initially took the NYIP course because she was able to do it from home while her children were younger. "I loved that it covered photography so broadly, as this helped me to decide on what I loved the most." Since graduating, Reija opened Studio R Santa Cruz in a mall specializing in "Portrait photography: from baby to boudoir and everything in between." Her work covers maternity, baby, family, high school seniors, business head shots, boudoir portraits and she’s just finished her first wedding. Karin Kunzova, Germany

Karin’s photo series 'Road Trip' dealing with backpacking around the Australia outback was selected by Agathe Gaillard and published in Le Journal de la Photographie. Karin focuses on documentary photography which she says she finds challenging and fulfilling. She loves "working with people, studying different personalities and the way people live."

Paul Hicks, Arkansas

Congratulation to Paul who opened Paranlillie Photography (http://www.paranlilliephotography.com/) in 2013. He specializes in photographic services meant for advertising, websites, portraits, weddings, real estate, events, ceremonies, political candidates, newspapers, school activities and trade shows. Paul says "Photography is a "heart" thing. You cannot take great photos without the proper heart. NYIP and their professional photography course has helped me to see the "heart" of who, what, when, where, and why...I shoot pictures. As a hobbiest-freelance photographer since 1985, it is only through the NYIP Course that I realized my "heart" and destiny is to be a professional photographer."

Janice Lukenbill, Kentucky

Great news from Janice! One of her fine art landscape images was given the Horizon Award by Photo Pro Network (formerly the Kentucky Professional Photographers Association). Janice runs her own business specializing in pet photography.

Lee Presnell, North Carolina

Since graduating from NYIP, Lee has been very busy! Lee is creating a calendar and a book for some local churches, shooting head shots for an author’s autobiography, car and modeling shoots, and doing a number of photography sessions for the American Heart Association for one of their fundraisers. Lee has also been published twice in local newspapers including two front page photos. Lee also won 7 awards in photography contests.
