By NYIP Staff on March 19, 2015

21 Habits of Successful Photographers is weekly video series developed by NYIP. Check out last week’s Habit, and stay tuned for more by subscribing to our YouTube channel.

NYIP Mentor and Industry Veteran Patrick Donahue, has studied the professional habits of the world’s most successful photographers.

One of the keys to increasing our visual awareness is to look at things from a global perspective. As Americans, we tend to be fairly geocentric in our approach. We see what we see in our daily lives. But one can expand their vision without even getting on an airplane.

When we make the effort to widen our vision, we get a much more rounded impression of the world and that can have a positive effect on our photography.
