Search for Truth and Beauty

Photography is about waking up long before sunrise, having a first cup of coffee, and hitting the road in the dark.

If the park gates aren't open yet, you wait with excited anticipation. When the sun comes over the horizon, you know the chances for something spectacular are probable. In fairness, the conditions may never be perfect, and the timing is rarely right. Yet we must learn to take whatever nature gives us and work with it to the best of our ability.

There's always the chance you'll go home without a picture. It's this sobering reality however, that makes actually getting the shot that much more rewarding. The only way it will happen of course, is if you pick up the camera each day, and search for truth and beauty in the world around you.
